Problem Statement:
A city is facing a huge problem of traffic
hassle. The present transport system is being congested day by day due to ever
increasing traffic pressure.
The
event is a Two Round Event
Round 1: Preparation of plan
- Participants
will be provided with a map of a city and all the details (i.e. rates) of
the components i.e. (bridges, roads, etc.) of the transport system to be
built.
- You
can build anything from the given list of components and yes everything
you build will increase your budget which is a very important factor for
evaluation. So, use your budget with intelligence.
- You
will get 3 hours to submit the plan and calculation of the budget.
Round 2: Description of Plan
- The
candidates will be informed and they have to explain their plan in front
of the judges and also give a brief procedure for application.
Rules and Regulations:
1. Budget should be calculated
by contestants on the basis of Rates of components (like cost of road per km,
Cost of bridges, Cost of destruction and relocation if new roads introduced)
2. Facilities like Hospitals,
fire brigades, police station should be properly accessible. They can select
sites.

4. Transport systems can be
introduced (i.e. 1-ways, no. of lanes in roads, routing for heavy and light
vehicles).

Eligibility:
1. Students pursuing undergraduate/postgraduate courses from
any recognized institution can participate.
