PROBLEM STATEMENT:
Design and shape the world around you with the powerful flexible
features in Auto CAD 2012 software, one of the world’s leading 2-D and 3-D CAD
design tools.

SOFTWARE
SPECIFICATIONS:-
1. A
recent release of AutoCAD will be loaded on computers
2. Participants
are welcome to bring their own mice (although mice will be provided)

DRAWING
SPECIFICATIONS:-
In
initial rounds drawing will neither be mechanical nor architectural. But in
proceeding rounds participants will have to draft both 2-D and 3-D views of the
orthographic drawings.

CRITERIA
1. Qualifying
Round:- participants will have to go
through a screening process which will be an objective test regarding AutoCAD
software
2.
ROUND
1:-
Ø Participants will be given a dimensional
drawing (2-D) on a piece of paper and asked to reproduce it on AutoCAD
Ø Finish the drawing exactly to specifications
in the given amount of time to qualify for the next round
3.
ROUND 2:-
Ø Participants will be asked to draft the 3-D
view of the orthographic drawing provided
Ø It will also be an elimination round.
4.
ROUND
3:-
In this
round the creativity of the participants will be tested. Participants will be
allotted a specific time slot in which they will have to draft anything
creative of their own.
RULES AND REGULATIONS:
Ø All participants will arrive before the start
of the competition to take their places.
Ø The drawing will be distributed with the
starting bell.
Ø Any participant not ready with his or her
drawing within the allotted time will be disqualified.
Ø Judges decision will be final and binding to
all.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Ø Students pursuing undergraduate/postgraduate
courses from any recognized institution can participate.
Ø Students should have their college identity
card along with them.
