INTRODUCTION:
This event will test the speed and the accuracy related to the circuits.
Participants will be provided the material required for the events; but the circuit
elements will be kept assorted on separate tables, from which the participants
will pick up the required stuff.
PROBLEM STATEMENT:
Problem statement in
form of figure or question will be given to the participants at the time of the
competition.
FORMAT OF EVENT:
The event will
consist of three rounds.
·
The first round will be an eliminator in
which the teams will be given 20 questions. Top 30% teams will proceed to next
round.
·
In second round troubleshooting skills of the
teams will be tested. Teams will be given a faulty circuit which they will have
to correct in given time. Top 6 teams from the second round will be the proud
finalists.
·
In the final round the finalists will have to
design a black box (an electronic circuit) according to the input and output
given to them.
ARENA AND COMPONENTS NEEDED:
Electronics lab (may
be more than one, depending on the no. of participants) with the projector,
Circuit elements: Resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistor, dc and ac power supply
source, logic gate IC’s, Op-Amp, breadboard, CRO, trainer kit, multimeters, and
stopwatches.
RULES AND SPECIFICATIONS:
·
Team will consist of 3 members (maximum) and
can be from different colleges.
·
The datasheets of the different components
will be provided during the event.
·
Decision of the judges will be final and
teams must abide by them.
·
Any unfair practices will be dealt with
disqualification.
JUDGING CRITERIA:
The teams will be
judged on the basis of both the correctness of the circuit and the time taken
for the completion.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
All the participants
should have a valid ID card of their respective institutes.
