a. Overview:
This is a unique
and exaggerating event which requires both the skills of a brilliant programmer
as well as the knowledge of rotational mechanic
Problem Statement:
There will be a screen of
1 X 1 meters on which a 3 X 3 matrix will be displayed such as each cell of the
matrix will have a different colour (different RGB values). The semi-autonomous
robot will be required to have a simple LASER pointer, whose frequency will be
predecided. The teams will be told a sequence of colours on which they have to
point the laser. Every time the laser points to the correct colour the judging
software will calculate the time taken by the robot to point to the colour and
also will simultaneously change the array of colours.
b. Judging criterion:
The winners will be
decided by the judging software, and the team with the least time will win. In
case of a tie the event managers will look for the designs and innovative
features of the robots and their decision will be final.
c. Rules and regulations
1) At one time only one
team will target the screen.
2) Team members will not
be allowed to touch the robot once the event starts.
3) Any type of malpractice
will lead to the disqualification of the team.
4) No time will be given
for practice before the event.
5) Members of only one team will be allowed to be present in the event
area.
