Blind Alley

a. Intro: This event incorporates the ability of the micromouse (robot) to traverse the given maze in minimum time and through the shortest distance.

b. PROBLEM STATEMENT: Design and build an autonomous micromouse to traverse the given maze in the shortest possible time.

c. FORMAT OF THE EVENT:

·        Arena will be shown on the spot.
·        All the teams will be given sufficient time to make changes in their micromouse.
·        It will consist of two rounds. First round will be eliminator in which micromouse will have to reach to destination through maze.
·        In round two, maze of more complexity will be given.
·        In case micromouse gets stuck somewhere, the participants can pick it up and put at the last check point crossed with some time penalty.

d. SPECIFICATION:

·        It has to be autonomous.
·        The size of the micromouse should not exceed 20cm X 20cm.
·        The RPM of the DC motor should not exceed 1500.
·        A team will consist of 3 members (maximum) and can be from different colleges.

e.      RULES AND REGULATIONS:

·        Structure could be of absolutely any shape satisfying the above constraints.
·        Any team that is not ready at the time specified will be disqualified immediately.
·        Judge’s decision shall be final and binding on all.
·        The organizers reserve all rights to change any or all of the above rules as they deem fit
·        Micromouse must detect starting and final positions (marked white) and invoke some signal to indicate the identification of the destination.

g. ELIGIBILTY:

All students with a valid identity card of their respective educational institutions are eligible to participate.
